Many Australian sheep producers, and some of our overseas customers, will be familiar with the NJ Phillips Dutjet applicator. It is the most popular jetting handpiece available in Australia for fly and lice control in medium and long wool sheep. |
| Recently the Dutjet has had a makeover. It now features a high quality plastic handle with integral trigger rather than the older style metal handle. The metal handle was an aluminium casting and would occasionally give us problems. It could crack if it was dropped, and was also difficult and expensive to control in manufacturing. The new plastic handle is extremely robust and spare handles are available and are very easy for farmers to swap over. |
| This year is shaping up to a big fly season in some areas of Australia. Good spring rains and warm weather in parts of Queensland and northern NSW in particular have already seen fly activity starting to increase. |
